Welcome! This page is to help you orient to how to use the Living Voice Library itself, how to navigate the content and decide where to start, because there’s a lot in there, and I don’t want you to feel overwhelmed or lost!

The link to save, to access all parts of your LVL membership is: https://thelivingvoicelibrary.com

You can also find a visual overview in the orientation video!

The Living Voice Library is designed as a support for working with me in 1:1 sessions, not so much as a standalone resource.

However, everyone's journey is different. Whether you are having sessions with me on a regular weekly or fortnightly basis, or a little less often via book-as-you-go, or you just drop in for a quick refresh or booster session every so often... the LVL is here to support you along your vocal journey as you go. Just make sure you check in with your questions and let me know how you're going!

Coming along to the Live Voices Group Calls is also a great way to maintain your momentum, ask your questions, receive guidance & directions, and get feedback on your technique etc if you feel comfortable to give it a try in front of the group!

But hopefully, you have had a couple sessions with me and I have given you some custom guidance on how you should proceed with the resources here in the Library, based on what you have told me you want to work on, or change or improve about your voice, or how it feels for you to use it.

A practical note - the Living Voice Library is not ideal for use on mobile devices. I highly recommend you use a computer to access it at least the first time, to look around and get your bearings on how to move through the platform, then it will be easier to know where you're going if you access it on your phone later on.

Here's where most of the content is, all the exercises and techniques!

Usually, I will recommend starting with a specific lesson or two, most relevant to your particular vocal challenges & goals, to get the ball rolling on your vocal progress so you can get excited about the results you are hearing and feeling ASAP!

Make sure you check the email where I first sent you the link for signing up, this has the list of the first couple lessons that I recommend you start with.

There is also a “Where do I start?” section in the Technique library that you can check out for further guidance on what to do next; it lists common vocal goals & challenges and which lessons I would usually suggest for those.

Usually around our second session (or third week, if you are taking this journey in a more self-guided way), it is a good time to take a look at how to sustainably fit your time with your voice into your weekly schedule, and that's where Structure & Flow comes in.

In Structure & Flow there is a lot of resource (and a lot more to come), and as with the other parts of the library, it’s not a progressive course, you don’t have to follow a particular order.

However, I have 4 modules which I have numbered 1-4, which are designed as a guided process to help set you up for a successful & enjoyable practice routine, so I do recommend you check those out early in your journey and follow these 4 modules in order!

So you might be wondering, "okay, I used some technique to make the tricky bits easier, but now how do I make this song interesting? How do I re-interpret it, make it my own, use my voice to tell the story and evoke emotions?"

This section of the library is currently less filled-out than the others, but has some good introductions to approaching making a song your own, and getting a sense for what kind of options are available to you!

In future it will include more guides on making artistic choices, as well as a wealth of resource around performance, and navigating life as an artist and in the music industry.

Don't forget there are links & descriptions for the other bonus parts of your membership - the group calls, the resources list, the weekly check-in, and the online community - on the main page.

There's also instructions for pausing / cancelling your membership at the bottom of that page (this is your responsibility to manage).

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, can't find something, or if anything seems broken!
